This is my third year of teaching at Cessna! I am married but have no kids yet, but our dog Hayabusa (Siberian husky) might as well be our child. When I'm not at school I enjoy taking dance class, shopping, playing with the puppy and reading. I love teaching fifth grade and can't wait to spend many years here at Cessna =^D

Cessna in a wonderful school to be teaching in, this is my seventh year.   I taught 3^rd grade my first year here, and moved to 4th grade the following years.  I am a graduate of Derby High School and  Wichita State University.  I look forward to going back to college in the future to continue my education. 

I have been married for as long as I’ve been teaching.  My husband and I enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling.  Since I’m a teacher, we both are involved with our church’s youth group, we are surrounded by kids, but don’t have any of our own yet!  I Thank you for letting me be apart of your child’s life! J

Hi, my name is Kelli Hansard and this is my sixth year at Cessna Elementary.  I recently returned after a two year break during which I stayed home with my four children:  Braden 10, Johnathan 5, Haylee 3, and Katelyn 2.  I have taught in each of the intermediate grades but 4th grade is such a great age!!  Thank you so much for sharing your children with me!

This is my third year at Cessna. I have a son who is 8. I love to read all kinds of books. When not reading you can find me at Thunder games during hockey season!

I’ve been in and around Cessna Elementary School for fourteen years, volunteering when my daughter started kindergarten. Later became a math tutor, and then Writing to Read Para. This will be my tenth year as an Interrelated Para.  I have been married for twenty-two years.  We have a daughter, Kirsten (22) and she has two babies, Brooklyn (1year) and Boston (2 months).  Our son Kevin (18) attends Friends University.  I have two small dogs (Barkley and Eddie) and three cats (Gwen, Abby and Pokie) and four birds. I did have three turtles for three years, until recently they walked away.

The STAFF is wonderful!

This is my eighth year of teaching, but my third year on staff at Cessna Elementary.   Many of you know me as Ms. Janssen, but after a fall wedding, I am now Mrs. Pickering.  I have two grown children, Joshua and Amanda.  Amanda is studying at KU. (Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!!)  I also have my little hound, Harry.  In my spare time, I like to read, garden, most of all, travel.  I feel lucky to work with such a caring staff and such terrific kids.

This is my third year teaching at Cessna Elementary, and fourth year teaching 3rd grade.  I am a graduate from Wichita State University.  My husband's name is Kurt and our son's name is Andrew.  Andrew is two years old.  In our spare time we enjoy taking Andrew to the Zoo and playground.  We have two dogs Shelby and Dolly.  As a child I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  My favorite book is by Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go.  I love to eat anything Italian.  In my spare time I enjoy traveling, going to movies & dinner, and shopping!  I love being a teacher at Cessna!!!

Hello!  This is my fifth year of teaching.  I have only taught second grade at Cessna Elementary.  I enjoy working at Cessna because of all of the WONDERFUL students and staff. 

I have two daughters:  Alauna is 8 years old and Olivia is 5 years old.  I enjoy playing softball and mountain biking. 

I have enjoyed being a Para-educator for the past 24 years . There is nothing as fulfilling as being with children learning every day.  I have two grown children ages 35 and 40, and 5 wonderful grandchildren.   I hope to be at Cessna as long as I am able to come and help.

This is my first second teaching and I love working with 1st graders! I am married and have no kids yet. I am a graduate of Friends University and am looking forward to continuing my education. During the summer, I work at the Sedgwick County Zoo in the Education Department.

Hello!  I am Mrs. Miller.  I have been a teacher for 10 years.  I have taught first, second, third and fifth grade.  I'm back teaching first grade this year.    I have taught at Beech, Bryant, Woodland and now I am here at Cessna!  I have been with my husband for 11 years (four of those married!)  We have two kids - Sawyer is 26 months old and Danica is 11 months old.  I am a Harry Potter fanatic!!  I love to read and play golf in my spare time - which I never have any more with two little babies!! 

This is my seventh year at Cessna.  My first year, I taught Kindergarten and moved to first grade the following year for six years.  This year (08-09) I'm back teaching kindergarten again.   Outside of Cessna, I am a busy mother of three children: Ben, Lauren, and Madelyn.  We enjoy watching movies and bowling.   Cessna Elementary is a GREAT place to be!!!!

This is my second year teaching Kindergarten and I love being at Cessna!  This summer my husband and I moved from Ohio to Wichita. In Ohio, I previously taught Pre-K for a year and was a substitute teacher for 3 years.  My husband is attending Newman University to be a radiological technologist (x-ray).  Ron and I have been married for 7 years.  We have no children yet, and sadly, our cat Callie had to stay back in Ohio.  I love the staff and students at Cessna, and enjoy teaching Kindergarten!

When my son’s attended Cessna Elementary I became a volunteer.  I later became a lunch aid for three years and continued volunteering.   In 1998 I became an Interrelated Para and served in that department for two years.  The start of my third year I became the Computer Lab Para.   I never knew much about computers but have learned over the years.   I have two boys; Ben (22) is in the Marines and Joshua (16) is a junior at South High.   We have a Jack Russell dog.   My spare time I like to read, sew and plant flowers.  I love working at Cessna.

This is my second year at Cessna as the Instructional Coach.   I was a teacher for 11 years at Sunrise Christian Academy and I been with USD259 for 11 years.  I am finishing my Master's degree in Educational Leadership at WSU.  I have been married to Kevin, the love of my life, for 21 years.  We have three incredibly handsome boys, Josh who is 21, Jeremy who is 20, and Joseph who is 16.  The other member of our household who is near and dear to my heart is Romeo.  He is a three pound Pomeranian who adores me!

This is my second year as an LRE Aide at Cessna and I love it.  The staff and children are such a blessing..
